Sudden silence

I can only hear the silence now
That the roar of the storm subsided

Time stands still after the deafening rage
That made us tumble down the mountain

I breathe in wintery air and absorb shades of green and brown
That are shining silver with moisture

But then I become caught
In your eyes
Shades of blue
And the silence deepens
